Sphere Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major £29m education development in Port Talbot. This flagship primary school project will deliver a state-of-the-art, net-zero operational facility including teaching accommodation for 420 pupils, nursery provision, ALN facilities and a Welsh-immersion unit. The scheme is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and will be one of the region’s most sustainable educational developments.

We are looking for a driven Project Manager with proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through to handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of the project through all construction phases
  • Manage programme, subcontractors, quality, commercial awareness and H&S compliance
  • Coordinate site teams, client meetings and stakeholder communication
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Drive programme performance and maintain high-quality standards throughout
  • Work closely with design, commercial and operational teams
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on major construction projects
  • Background in education, commercial, healthcare or public sector schemes preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and site teams
  • Experience working with Tier 1 or leading regional contractors advantageous
