Responsibilities:
- Technical / engineering production and overall design management within the technical team.
- Production of engineering designs that are safe, fully compliant with project specifications, standards and other statutory regulations.
- Delivery of designs within budget and to programme.
- Provision of technical support to the broader construction team on both live projects/tenders and development projects as well as previously built projects.
- Ensure projects are invoiced at appropriate times and monitor efficiency.
- Update projected invoicing.
- Instigate and maintain relationships with key client/design team personnel.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree in a suitable discipline (e.g., civil or structural).
- Knowledge of current Eurocodes and British Standards.
- Building construction knowledge, structural and civil engineering.
- Experience of working with contractors, engineers and architects.
- Ability to report against programme.
- Understanding of the individual’s roles and responsibilities under CDM.
- Experience of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, etc.).
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with temporary works experience.
- Strong understanding of elemental design and material properties.
- Basic experience of project management and interaction with clients/design team members.
- Capability to manage small to medium sized projects and work alongside dedicated technicians and civil engineering staff.
- Capability to manage own time/resources relatively independently.
