Trainee Senior Operator / Trainee Supervisor – Temporary to Permanent (Lates & Nights)
Location: Petersfield
Shift: Lates (3 pm – 11 pm) – £15.93 per hour
Shift: Nights (11 pm – 7 am) – £16.48 per hour
Full‑time, 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support your team to achieve production plans, KPIs, and quality targets
- Oversee daily assembly line operations
- Coach team members, develop their skills, and support RTW processes
- Use OEE data and structured problem‑solving to reduce downtime and improve output
- Drive Lean practices, 5S, and continuous improvement activities
- Maintain quality compliance, complete documentation, and carry out investigations
- Assist with wider business projects and provide hands‑on support when needed
Qualifications
- Experience as an Operator, Senior Operator, or Team Leader
- Several years’ experience in manufacturing, including informal supervisory duties
- Experience working within high‑paced manufacturing or production
- Confidence in coaching others and solving day‑to‑day issues
- Strong sense of responsibility and pride in team performance
- Hands‑on attitude and leading by example – suitability for a formal leadership role
