The ideal candidate would be a production or manufacturing engineer with a good base understanding of processes and production techniques (electronics, electromechanical, materials, tool design, automation etc), with industry experience across either Science, Imaging, Instrumentation, Aerospace, Defence, low volume production or product development environment and good practical hands-on skills to fix issues on the production lines. Skills / Knowledge Required: Production / Manufacturing Engineer HND / Degree qualified in a relevant subject (e.g. manufacturing engineering, production engineering, electronics or mechanical engineering) Experience gained as a production or manufacturing engineer working within a product development manufacturing environment, ideally electronics, electromechanical, automation etc Proven ability to utilise Lean and Six Sigma processes with experience of problem-solving methods (e.g. TRIZ, 8D, root cause analysis, FMEA etc), and in enabling continuous improvement Ability to take a problem, follow and lead logical plans to solve the issues and implement corrective actions and solutions Experience gained in automated or semi-automated manufacturing of electronic components, metal fabricated components, machined parts, designing and making tools, jigs
