My Client, a market leading engineering and environmental consultancy with offices based across the UK, who specialise in low carbon builds and natural flood management, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join their team in Leeds. You can help to develop and build a team.

Responsibilities

  • Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1, 2 and 3
  • Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS
  • SuDS strategies
  • Drainage, attenuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow
  • Hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow
  • Design of sustainable drainage solutions for residential, commercial, healthcare, retail and educational projects
  • Natural flood management
  • River restoration schemes
  • Client meetings to discuss project progress on occasion
  • Support team members, grow and develop the team
  • Manage projects

Qualifications

  • Strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Engineering
  • Experience working for a UK based consultancy completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and design using infodrainage or causeway or AutoCAD and/or hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller
  • Applicants must work autonomously to manage projects, mentor team members and complete technical work.
