QC Chemist job opportunity for a leading chemicals manufacturer based in Lancashire.

Position Details
- Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.15am to 4.30pm (40.75 hours per week); some flexibility in hours is available.
- Duration: Permanent.
- Location: Lancashire.
- Salary: £28-33k, depending on skills and experience.
- Site based.
Responsibilities
- Testing of incoming raw materials and final products and environmental samples, using wet chemistry techniques (pH, viscosity etc.) UV, IR, GC, and AA.
- Carrying out Method Development and Validation where required.
- Ensuring that the laboratory remains compliant and standards are maintained.
- Assisting with out specifications results and providing corrective actions and dealing with customer queries when required.
- Ensuring that all results are recorded on computer systems.
Qualifications
- Science qualification ideally Chemistry at A-level or above.
- Experience in chromatography and wet chemistry techniques.
- Ideally experience of working in a regulated laboratory (i.e., ISO; GMP; UKAS).
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills.
- IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
