Hill Mc Glynn is delighted to be working in partnership with a well‑established and highly respected facades and cladding contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Based from our office in Potters Bar, the successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple façade and cladding projects across London, ensuring financial performance, contractual compliance, and successful project delivery from pre‑construction through to final account.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work and a reputation for delivering high‑quality façade and cladding solutions on major residential, commercial, and mixed‑use developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of façade and cladding packages from tender stage through to final account.
- Preparation, submission, and negotiation of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget management.
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
- Contract administration and risk management.
- Working closely with project delivery teams to maximise commercial performance.
- Managing client relationships and attending commercial meetings.
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Significant experience within cladding and facades (non‑negotiable).
- Minimum 3 years' experience working on façade and cladding packages.
- Background working for a specialist cladding contractor or managing cladding packages for a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of cladding systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects and delivering successful commercial outcomes.
- Excellent contractual and commercial awareness.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a wider team.
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification.
