Role Overview
The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all mechanical systems on the client site. The role supports the delivery of statutory, legislative, and mandatory maintenance activities while ensuring equipment and building services remain fully functional. This includes completing planned preventative maintenance, responding to reactive issues, delivering minor new works, and supporting the wider engineering team to maintain high service standards and operational continuity for the client. Additionally, provides technical expertise in the domestic water systems, heating systems, boilers, chiller plant, and sprinkler systems.

What you'll be doing
- Safe, compliant delivery of mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Effective execution of reactive and planned work to meet SLAs.
- Proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and PPE.
- Full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, and industry regulations.
- Completion of required training and competency assessments.
- Be part of the on site out of hours call out team.
What we're looking for
- Completed Mechanical Apprenticeship.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or mature route).
- Strong practical mechanical skills and problem‑solving ability.
- Experience working independently in technical maintenance.
- Competent in safe systems of work and H&S standards.
- IT literate (CMMS).
- Able to self‑manage workload and communicate effectively.
