An opportunity has opened for a Project Engineer to join an engineering company based in Portishead. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background working on mechanical biased projects and will have experience within the design and manufacture of heavy lifting equipment. You will need to have experience in a client facing position as this is key for the role.

Key Skills:

  • Experienced in project engineering / management
  • Experience with heavy lifting equipment design and manufacture
  • Preferably mechanical biased
  • AutoCAD design knowledge – ability to read engineering drawings
  • Full UK Driving License for site visits
  • CSCS card holder
  • Any crane, mobile crane experience would be a bonus
  • Excellent communication experience including client / customer facing background

Responsibilities:

  • Creating engineering solutions for heavy lifting projects from concept to delivery
  • Speaking with clients to take specifications down and updating with progress
  • Visiting sites to ensure projects are moving smoothly
  • Developing and reviewing drawings, calculations and risk assessments to ensure projects match the spec
  • Ensuring quality and H & S assessments are conducted
  • Liaising with construction and engineering teams, keeping in line with timelines
