The Role
As a Junior Logistics Coordinator, you will support the day-to-day coordination of road freight shipments from collection through to final delivery.
Key responsibilities will include
- Coordinating European road freight import and export shipments
- Arranging collections and deliveries with transport partners
- Supporting groupage, part-load and full-load movements
- Liaising with customers, hauliers, suppliers and overseas agents
- Monitoring shipments and providing regular customer updates
- Preparing and checking transport documentation
- Obtaining rates from suppliers and transport providers
- Producing quotations for customers
- Updating freight management systems accurately
- Maintaining clear and accurate shipment records
- Resolving delays, delivery issues and operational queries
- Supporting the wider freight forwarding team
- Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and within agreed timescales
Requirements
This role is all about finding the right person. Previous freight forwarding experience would be beneficial, but it is not essential.
