An established and growing M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple electrical projects across commercial, industrial, and secure government sectors. The business provides full mechanical and electrical services from design through to installation and commissioning, with a strong presence in technically demanding environments. A significant portion of the workload is within Ministry of Defence projects, therefore current security clearance is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple electrical projects from pre‑construction through to final handover
- Manage project managers and site teams to ensure successful delivery
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the key point of contact
- Oversee commercial performance, including cost control and contract compliance
- Support tendering, procurement, and resource allocation across projects
- Ensure health & safety standards are upheld across all sites
- Drive quality, commissioning, and project close‑out processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Contracts Manager within the M&E / Building Services sector
- Strong track record delivering multiple electrical projects simultaneously
- Experience within commercial, industrial, or government‑led projects
- Active Security Clearance (SC or higher) – essential
- Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
- SMSTS
- Experience working on Ministry of Defence or other secure projects
- Knowledge across full project lifecycle, including design and delivery
