About the Role

This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is working with one of the UK's leading manufacturing organisations and offers a fantastic salary of £55,000 plus a performance bonus currently averaging £22 per shift, excellent industry benefits including pension match to 10% and fantastic overtime opportunities. Based near the area of Whittlesey, the role is 4 on 4 off days and nights, however, currently the nights are from 10am to 10pm to support with the current production needs of the site. The days shift is 6am - 6pm.

Benefits

  • Base salary up to £55K per annum
  • Performance bonus averaging £22 per shift
  • 4 on 4 off (hours 6am‑6pm / 10am‑10pm nights)

  • Overtime available at minimum x1.5 (target earnings to well over £60K)

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out essential planned mechanical maintenance and complete necessary repairs to keep the factory in good working order.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service and Repairs on heavy press machinery, bearings, shafts, conveyor-based systems etc.
  • Involvement in on‑going process improvement throughout the factory, developing new ideas and better solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Applicants must have demonstrable knowledge & expertise in PPM and reactive maintenance on industrial plant equipment.
  • Experience with performing maintenance tasks on industrial production machinery.
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
