Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented TIG Welder to join our well-established clients based in Worcestershire, leading manufacturers of complex and safety-critical engineering parts for the defence and transport sector. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to play a key role in applying their welding expertise within a precision-driven and highly regulated environment ensuring products meet the highest and strictest international standards and ensuring that all safety-critical products and components meet specification requirements.

Main Responsibilities:- Performing TIG (141) welding on aluminium fabrications from 1.5 mm - 30 mm ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and sheet metal fabrication
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
- Operate and set up of TIG welding equipment to strict company specifications following health and safety procedures
- Carry out visual inspection of welds to BS EN ISO 17673:2022 standards
- Conduct quality checks on welds and finished products, making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards
- Maintain an organised, clean and safe working environment
- Meet production targets working within the manufacturing and production teams
- Maintain qualifications to BS EN ISO 9606 and continue internal and external training
- Ad hoc duties as required in the production team from time to time
- Proven TIG (141) and fabrication experience welding aluminium β 2 years minimum
- Proven experience working to certified or highly regulated international standards
- Experience in the Defence, Motorsport, Aerospace or similar sectors β Desirable
- Previous coding to ISO 9606β1/2 β Desirable
- NVQ or City & Guildings qualification in welding, fabrication or a relevant engineering subject β Desirable
- Good communication skills and an ability to work alongside and with colleagues and customers

Salary up to Β£18.50 per hour DOE + Company Benefits
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00 (Early Finish)
Temporary to Permanent Contract.
