We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to lead day to day assembly and testing operations within an R&D and Prototype environment. This role combines team leadership, operational planning, process improvement, and cross functional collaboration, with a focus on delivering high quality work safely and efficiently. The position offers the opportunity to help shape processes, develop team capability, and contribute to continuous improvement across the function.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and allocate assembly and test activities to ensure safe, timely, and high quality delivery.
  • Adapt schedules and priorities as workloads and project demands change.
  • Manage planning and resource allocation to maintain a clear and consistent workflow for technicians.
  • Develop and maintain clear working procedures and documentation, ensuring processes are followed and continuously improved.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to technicians, helping resolve issues and develop team capability.
  • Liaise with wider teams and stakeholders to communicate priorities, timelines, and dependencies effectively.
  • Maintain organised and efficient assembly and test areas in line with 5S principles.

Qualifications

  • Have experience supervising and mentoring teams.
  • Worked within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experienced working in an agile, fast-paced development setting.
  • Leading 5S / Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement.
  • UK driving license.
