Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to lead and deliver electrical engineering projects within the Electrical Engineering Team.
You will be responsible for supporting the installation, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems and upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high technical and safety standards.
These projects vary from a wide range of large complex heavy industrial settings but you will join a team of experienced and well qualified experts.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management capability, and stakeholder coordination within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
The team works across Electrical Inspection and Testing, Power Quality Monitoring, Process Control Systems, Control Panels, EV Charge Ports, Thermal Imaging and Switchboards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical projects from initial concept, design, manufacture and installation.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Provide technical support on PLCs, drives, motors, and instrumentation.
- Review and approve electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations (e. g., BS7671, IEC standards). Promote and enforce health & safety standards on all projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work.
Skills & Experience Essential
- Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- C&G Level 3 Electrical Inspection BS7671 (18th Edition).
- C&G Level 3 (2391-01) Inspection & Testing of Electrical installations.
- Proven experience in delivering electrical engineering projects in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems, PLCs (e. g., Siemens, Allen Bradley), motors, drives, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
