The Opportunity:
This isn’t your typical maintenance role. You’ll be working in a practical, hands-on environment maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment. The site operates a mix of older and modern equipment, so the role requires a strong mechanical mindset rather than just swapping parts. If you enjoy getting stuck into machinery, diagnosing faults, stripping down components, and carrying out proper repairs — this role will give you that.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintaining and repairing a variety of mechanical equipment
- Fault finding on gearboxes, bearings, shafts, belts and drive systems
- Working on rollers, rotating equipment and material handling systems
- Carrying out component repairs and rebuilds
- Supporting hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Completing PPMs and responding to breakdowns
- Supporting improvement work across the site
What We’re Looking For:
- A hands-on engineer who enjoys practical mechanical work
- Someone comfortable working on a variety of machinery (not just automated lines)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- A reliable team player who can also work independently
- Apprentice trained or time-served
