Global Consumer & Hospitality Organisation
Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: £70-80,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Exceptional Long-Term Career Opportunity
Most Organisation Design roles focus on structures. This one is focused on helping shape how a global organisation operates. A highly complex, internationally recognised consumer and hospitality business is seeking an exceptional Organisation Design professional to join a strategically important Organisation Effectiveness and Organisation Design function operating at enterprise level across a large-scale, multi-country environment. The organisation operates across multiple international markets, employs tens of thousands of colleagues globally and continues to invest heavily in organisational effectiveness, operating model maturity, digital enablement and long-term strategic scalability.
This is not a traditional Organisation Design role centred around reactive restructures, reporting lines or administrative governance processes. Instead, this opportunity sits at the intersection of:
- Enterprise organisation design
- Operating model effectiveness
- Workforce strategy
- Organisational governance
- HR technology enablement
- Organisational performance
- Large-scale transformation
The business is actively evolving how Organisation Design operates internally moving away from a function traditionally engaged during periods of restructuring and toward a far more strategic capability focused on enabling organisational performance, improving agility, strengthening governance and helping the business scale effectively across global markets. There will of course be a degree of tactical work also. As a result, this role will appeal to individuals who are energised by organisational complexity, strategic problem solving and the opportunity to influence how a major international business evolves operationally over the coming years.
The environment is fast‑paced, intellectually demanding and highly collaborative, requiring somebody capable of operating with both strategic credibility and commercial pragmatism. The successful individual will work globally across both corporate and regional stakeholder groups and will gain significant visibility across senior leadership environments internationally.
The Organisation Design Manager will play a central role in shaping and evolving the organisation’s global operating model and organisational effectiveness capability. Working closely with Organisation Effectiveness leadership and senior People stakeholders globally, the successful individual will support a broad range of strategically important organisational initiatives spanning:
- Enterprise organisation design
- Operating model optimisation
- Workforce and structural governance
- Organisation diagnostics
- Organisational analytics
- Job architecture
- HR systems alignment
- Enterprise transformation activity
This role goes significantly beyond organisation charts and structural redesign exercises. The focus is on understanding how the organisation genuinely operates:
- how work flows
- where accountability sits
- how decisions are made
- where complexity exists
- how organisational capability scales
- how structures can better support strategic business performance globally
The successful individual will act as a strategic internal consultant partnering with senior stakeholders to diagnose organisational challenges, evaluate organisational effectiveness and help shape future‑state operating models capable of supporting long‑term commercial growth and operational performance. A key part of the role will involve helping the organisation become increasingly insight‑led and data‑driven in how organisational decisions are made. This includes contributing toward organisational diagnostics spanning:
- spans and layers analysis
- workforce alignment
- governance effectiveness
- organisational scalability
- accountability clarity
- operating model efficiency
The role also carries significant involvement in enterprise job architecture and organisational governance activity. Considerable foundational work has already been undertaken globally and the successful individual will help evolve, embed and maintain those frameworks whilst balancing consistency with the operational realities of diverse regional markets. Alongside this, the position sits closely alongside broader HR technology and systems enablement initiatives. The organisation continues to invest heavily in digital capability and future workforce infrastructure, creating opportunity to contribute toward organisational design alignment across platforms such as SuccessFactors or Workday as well as broader future‑state operating model thinking.
Transformation and enterprise change activity also form an important part of the remit. The successful individual will support organisation redesign, operating model evolution and strategic transformation initiatives globally, helping leaders navigate organisational change, governance, implementation and the embedding of new ways of working. Importantly, this role requires somebody comfortable operating within ambiguity and capable of balancing governance, methodology and organisational discipline with pace, agility and commercial realism.
This opportunity requires an intellectually strong (minimum degree educated ideally Masters), commercially credible and highly collaborative Organisation Design professional capable of operating effectively within a complex international environment. The successful individual is likely to bring experience across:
- Organisation design
- Organisation effectiveness
- Workforce strategy
- Operating model development
- HR transformation
- Enterprise change or organisational consulting environments
Experience gained within large‑scale matrixed organisations operating across consumer, hospitality, consulting, retail, travel, digital, technology‑enabled or similarly operationally complex sectors would be particularly valuable. However, the organisation is not simply seeking consulting pedigree or theoretical capability. Success within this environment requires somebody capable of combining:
- Strategic thinking
- Analytical capability
- Stakeholder influence
- Organisational insight
- Commercial pragmatism
with the ability to operate effectively within a highly collaborative and fast‑moving business environment. The successful individual will likely demonstrate:
- strong intellectual curiosity
- systems thinking
- resilience
- organisational agility
- strong communication capability
- the confidence to influence senior stakeholders constructively
Critically, this role requires somebody equally comfortable operating strategically and operationally capable of moving between enterprise‑level organisational thinking and hands‑on implementation activity where required. The environment rewards individuals who combine thoughtful organisational analysis with credibility, pragmatism and delivery focus.
Very few Organisation Design opportunities offer this level of enterprise‑wide exposure, international stakeholder engagement and strategic operating model involvement within such a globally recognised environment. This is an opportunity to help shape how a major international organisation operates, scales, governs itself, enables performance, and evolves its future workforce capability globally. The successful individual will join at an exciting stage of organisational evolution as the business continues investing heavily in:
- organisational effectiveness
- digital enablement
- workforce optimisation
- operating model maturity
- long‑term strategic scalability
For ambitious Organisation Design professionals, this represents a highly visible and genuinely career‑defining opportunity with substantial long‑term progression potential.
