We are looking for a Senior Site Manager to deliver projects across leisure, education, blue light, transport, residential and healthcare in the North West region.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Construction Manager and manage the delivery of projects safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality.
  • Provide leadership and people management for the site team.
  • Maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.
  • Implement project strategies to achieve the company's sustainability objectives.
  • Establish and uphold quality standards on site, ensuring delivery of a quality build in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Understand client priorities and adopt a professional, considerate approach to maintain good working relations.
  • Implement the supply chain policy.
  • Adopt the principles of the Considerate Constructor's Scheme, manage community relations, and maintain an appropriate site image.
  • Produce and develop project programmes and control operations to achieve delivery on time; organise works and supply chain to provide the right working environment.
  • Undertake works in the most economical manner to eliminate waste and avoid non-recoverable costs, monitoring the preliminary budget.
  • Maintain continuous professional development to ensure appropriate technical awareness.
  • Comply with standard procedures.
  • Manage project handover and ensure defect-free completion.
  • Support the strategy for defect closure during the defects period and obtain a certificate of Making Good Defects within targets.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects as part of a wider team.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings and technical specifications.
  • Understanding and sharing of build programmes.
  • Experience managing the supply chain, direct employees and consultants.
  • Proactive liaison with customers and the supply chain.
  • Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc.) or equivalent.
  • Appropriate CSCS card.
  • SMSTS certificate.
  • First Aid at Work certificate.
