The Service Supervisor / Senior Service Engineer / Service Technician will be responsible for overseeing all service engineers, managing the workshop, and carrying out hands-on pump repair work. This includes on-site installations, pump assembly, maintenance scheduling, health and safety oversight, and working closely with internal teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
The Service Supervisor / Senior Service Engineer / Service Technician should ideally have hands-on experience in pump repair, including centrifugal, submersible, positive displacement, and progressive cavity pumps, as well as knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems. While management experience would be an advantage, it is not essential.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all pump repair activities, including strip, assembly, and testing.
- Conduct on-site installations, inspections, and maintenance of pumps and associated systems.
- Supervise and schedule the work of service engineers, ensuring timely project completion.
- Provide technical support, including fault finding and recommendations for pump repair or replacement.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure efficient delivery of parts and timely customer service.
- Willingness to commute to the workshop in Oldham, with occasional travel to customer sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising and managing pump repair, assembly, and testing in an industrial setting.
- Experience as a Service Engineer, Service Technician, Service Supervisor, Pump Engineer, Pump Technician, Service Engineer or Workshop Foreman, ideally in pump repair or fluid handling systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems related to pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement models.
- Proven ability to manage teams, oversee schedules, and ensure safe working practices in a workshop environment.
- Experience with site surveys, customer interaction, and fault finding on pumps and related equipment.
- Mechanical/electrical qualifications (Apprentice trained, HNC, HND, or equivalent) are advantageous.
- Commutable to Oldham, with occasional travel to customer sites.
- Full UK driving license required for travel to customer sites.
