You’ll take ownership of electrical design delivery across a diverse portfolio, overseeing projects from initial survey through to handover. This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role where engineers are trusted to manage the full lifecycle, rather than being siloed into specific stages. Projects are varied and engaging, including:

  • Healthcare schemes and NHS frameworks
  • Large‑scale leisure developments (including significant work with Centre Parcs)
  • Long‑term retail partnerships (notably a 15+ year relationship with Urban Outfitters across the UK & Europe)
  • Decarbonisation projects within the education sector
  • Emergency services and fire & rescue frameworks

You will be client‑facing, working closely with stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technically robust and commercially viable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical design from concept through to RIBA Stage 7
  • Production of calculations, specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
  • Coordination with wider MEP and sustainability teams
  • Client and design team engagement
  • Site inspections, reporting, and quality assurance
  • Supporting feasibility studies and technical reports

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
  • Strong working knowledge of BS 7671, emergency lighting, and fire alarms
  • Comfortable in a client‑facing role with strong communication skills
  • Experience delivering projects within a consultancy or contractor environment
  • Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar)
  • Competent with AutoCAD and electrical design software
  • Full UK driving licence
