We are currently recruiting for Electrical Test Engineers for ongoing contract work in Nottingham. This is not a standard electrician role — we are specifically looking for specialist electrical test engineers with strong experience in inspection, testing, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspection and testing in line with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
- Complete and submit accurate Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
- Perform fault finding and ensure installations meet current regulations
- Work across commercial sites, including large-scale properties
- Adhere strictly to health & safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on testing & inspection
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) – highly desirable
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- Valid ECS or CSCS card
- Experience completing EICRs (Electrical Inspection Condition Reports)
- Ideally experienced testing large commercial properties
- Full UK driving licence (desirable)
