We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to carry out electrical installation and maintenance tasks throughout the whole of Saffron Housing Trust Properties.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake all electrical works including maintenance, modernisation, improvements and remedials to maintain all premises owned by Saffron or those they have interest in.
- Responsible for ensuring all jobs are closed down accordingly when jobs are completed via a mobile device.
- Responsible for all equipment provided by Saffron including van stock, vehicle, tools, and materials.
- Ensuring the safety and security of Saffron’s tenants and properties by participating on the out of hours call out rota, as required.

Ideal CandidateEducations and Qualifications:- Provide evidence of an ECS Gold Card demonstrating a Level 3 competency-based standard (NVQ) in Electrical installations plus a formal BS7671 Qualification in the current edition of the Wiring Regulations.
- Recognised UK electrical qualifications: C&G 2360 levels 2&3 Parts 1&2 & NVQ level 3 & C&G 2391 (equivalent C&G 2394/95 or EAL equivalent).
- C&G 2330 Levels 2&3 with NVQ level 3 & AM2 & C&G 2391 (equivalent C&G 2394/95 or EAL equivalent).
- 18th Edition BS7671:2018.
- City & Guilds or EAL Qualification.
- Current JIB card to either approved electrician with NVQ level qualification.
- AM2 qualification.
- Full driving licence (E).
- Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of domestic electrical work, including rewires, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, wiring, connection, and commissioning of all types of heating fuel systems.
- Experience of working in both occupied and unoccupied properties and on occasions in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.
- Possess working knowledge of domestic BS5839 Part 6:2019 domestic fire detection systems and BS5266: 2016 emergency lighting.
- Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
- Able to work as part of a team and able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
- Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps to order stock and MS Teams for meetings / training.
