We are currently working with a well-established and highly respected roofing and cladding contractor based in Norwich that is looking to appoint a CAD Draughtsperson to join its growing technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD professional to play a key role in the design and delivery of roofing and cladding projects, working closely with project managers, estimators and site teams to produce accurate technical drawings and construction details.
The Role
As a CAD Draughtsperson, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings and technical documentation for a range of roofing and cladding projects. You'll work from architectural and structural information to create accurate fabrication, construction and installation drawings that support successful project delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects while developing your technical expertise within a specialist contractor environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing detailed CAD drawings for roofing and cladding projects
- Creating fabrication, construction and installation drawings
- Reviewing architectural and structural drawings and specifications
- Liaising with project managers, estimators and site teams to ensure design requirements are met
- Preparing drawing revisions and updates throughout project lifecycles

About You
- Previous experience as a CAD Draughtsperson, CAD Technician or similar technical drawing role
- Experience within the roofing, cladding, façade, construction or building envelope sector
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant design software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and organisational skills
