A Northampton based company is seeking skilled Construction Materials Technicians to join their East Midlands team. This permanent role offers a salary of £28,000 - £35,000 DOE plus overtime, bonuses, and shift allowances.

Our client is a leading European provider of analytical testing services across air, water, dust, soil, asphalt, and a wide range of construction materials. They have a strong reputation for technical excellence and outstanding customer service.

The Role:

  • Carry out on-site sampling and testing of construction materials in accordance with British and European Standards.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and site personnel.
  • Prepare, record, and present test data accurately.
  • Support colleagues with test methods and procedures.
  • Cross-check calculations and results for quality assurance.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks, routine maintenance, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Assist with sample preparation when required.
  • Carry out additional duties as needed to support operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified to GCSE Grade C and above / Grade 4 - 9 in Maths, English and one science subject.
  • Experience in Geotechnical or ground materials testing (highly advantageous).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within a quality system.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Team-oriented with a flexible, proactive approach.
  • Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
  • Self-motivated with strong prioritisation skills.
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to new systems and procedures.
