Overview: An employee owned, multi-disciplinary consultancy with a track record of working on the UK's largest projects is looking for an Architect who is keen to move into a Building Regulations Principal Designer role.

Responsibilities: As a Building Regulations Principal Designer, you will lead on project delivery across a range of projects in various sectors. Using your experience as an Architect, you will ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations at the early design stages. You will coordinate design teams, maintain the golden thread of information, and ensure compliance is clearly demonstrated. Clear communication with the Principal Contractor is essential to ensure a smooth handover. You will be heavily involved in ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and managing building safety risks at early design stages, while also leading on all Building Regulations duty holder responsibilities.

Qualifications: The successful Architect will be an ARB‑registered / RIBA‑registered Architect with a strong understanding of the Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act. A keen interest in acting as a Building Regulations Principal Designer and a keen eye for identifying and managing risk at early design stages are essential.
