We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to take the lead on a £1.5m office refurbishment project within a large live manufacturing facility in North Tawton, Devon. This is a long‑term opportunity for a hands‑on Freelance Site Manager with a strong fit‑out background who’s confident managing client relationships, driving programmes and keeping standards high on site from day one. The project is predominantly fit‑out focused, alongside elements of structural refurbishment works. Phase one runs through to October, with the second phase continuing until mid‑2027.

The Role

  • Day‑to‑day site management
  • Coordinating trades and subcontractors
  • Managing health & safety across the site
  • Chairing and attending regular client progress meetings
  • Ensuring works are delivered to programme and quality standards
  • Managing site logistics within a live manufacturing environment
  • Monitoring progress and reporting back to senior management
  • Driving standards across finishes and fit‑out delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven fit‑out/refurbishment experience (ESSENTIAL)
  • Strong client‑facing and communication skills
  • Experience managing projects within live environments
  • Ability to drive programme and manage subcontractors effectively
  • Immediate availability
  • Essential tickets: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
