Shifts: Panama (Days & Nights)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and globally recognised manufacturing business within the FMCG sector. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to their site in North Shields. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable and forward-thinking company, offering long-term progression and a strong benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical fault finding, repair, and overhaul
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Electrical fault finding using drawings to diagnose hard-wired faults
  • PLC fault finding (Siemens TIA Portal desirable)
  • Installation and commissioning of electro-mechanical equipment
  • Use of machine shop equipment including lathe and milling machines
  • Welding (MIG and stick) where required

Requirements

  • Time-served Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical experience
  • Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • PLC fault finding experience (any platform considered)
  • HNC in Engineering desirable
  • Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
