We are a leading consultancy delivering engineering and management services across the Utilities, Energy and Infrastructure sectors. As part of our long-term, strategic partnership with our water clients, we are supporting the delivery of AMP8 (2025 – 2030) projects under a £5bn framework agreement and now seek experienced Design Engineers to join our team to support this delivery.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who has a background in the Water or Utilities industry to join the team working onsite around Northern England, together with office activities where needed. NEC3/NEC4 project management qualification / accreditation is desirable. ECC accreditation also desirable. We will consider candidates on a permanent or freelance basis.
Responsibilities:- Review contracts and provide client advice.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled.
- Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to stakeholders.
- Oversee the negotiation and administration of contracts with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that contracts are adhered to and that work is completed within the specified scope and budget.
- Resolve any disputes or issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- NEC3/NEC4 project management qualification / accreditation desirable.
- Water experience (Required).
- Working on site experience.
- ECC Project Management experience desired.
