We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management and financial performance of this programme. The role is a key position within the commercial team, responsible for ensuring cost control, value for money and robust commercial governance across the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the commercial and financial performance of planned refurbishment works
  • Preparing and reviewing valuations, cost reports and forecasts
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, applications and final accounts
  • Controlling variations, ensuring accurate pricing and commercial justification
  • Supporting the preparation of budgets, cashflow forecasts and cost value reconciliations
  • Working closely with operational teams to ensure alignment between delivery and commercial outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with contract terms, schedule of rates and client requirements
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
  • Supporting audits, reporting and internal governance processes

About You

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, refurbishment or social housing
  • Experience working on planned works or framework-based contracts
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control capability
  • Confidence managing subcontractor accounts and valuations
  • Good working knowledge of contractual and commercial processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • IT literacy, including Excel and commercial systems

Desirable

  • Relevant construction or commercial qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
  • Experience working on local authority or housing framework contracts
