Service Service is recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of a well‑established engineering business in Norwich. This is a hands‑on role focused on delivering mechanical design solutions across a range of technically challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce mechanical designs, assembly drawings, and detailed engineering documentation
- Develop solutions involving mechanical structures, rotating drives, and control systems
- Modify and maintain existing designs, datasheets, and technical documentation
- Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure projects are delivered on time
- Collaborate with production, project management, and supply chain teams
- Attend design reviews and produce technical reports
About You
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in a mechanical design engineering role
- Strong experience producing complex engineering drawings and 3D models
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of working to industry standards and regulations
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams and with stakeholders
