Job purpose: Responsible for processing and inspecting components using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) by dye penetrant immersion and magnetic flaw detection processes to ensure component parts conform to drawing and process requirements with no cracks or defects. Also processes components using appropriate heat treatment processes to ensure parts meet specifications with no defects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and inspect components using NDT (dye penetrant and magnetic flaw detection) to ensure compliance with drawings and process requirements.
- Assist Manufacturing Group Leaders in the manufacturing of parts, ensuring planned times for processes are met or improved.
- Process components using heat treatment processes to guarantee defect‑free parts.
- Check, calibrate, test and verify heat treatment equipment.
- Produce data cards for new components or drawing changes.
- Work alternative shifts or hours if required.
- Perform other reasonable duties or specific projects as directed by management.
