Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) Wanted - Immediate Start! Newcastle-Under-Lyme | £45K + Shift Allowance + Overtime Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, with an electrical bias? Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, with an electrical bias, to join a market leading logistics company based in the ST5 area. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing organisation, ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of automated equipment including conveyors, sorters and tipping systems.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Strong background in electrical/mechanical maintenance
  • Knowledge of 16th/17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams

Desirable:

  • Experience working on PLC controlled systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley etc)
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience working in a logistical environment

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and resolving mechanical or electrical issues quickly to minimise disruption.
  • Liaise effectively with Operations Managers, Section Leaders, and Control Room staff to coordinate fault responses and maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs across a wide range of automated machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, drives, motors, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Replace belts, chains, bearings, and other components as required.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in safe working order and stored correctly when not in use.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity, fault resolution, and handovers.
  • Ensure all inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained correctly.

Requirements:

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with health and safety procedures.
