The business is in the Middlesborough area and will be looking to appoint their chosen applicant ASAP. The Job you will do:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and carry out timely repairs
- Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and production disruption
- Conduct inspections and identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used
- Follow health and safety regulations and always ensure a safe working environment
- Install, test, and commission new equipment or system upgrades
- Work with tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently
- Collaborate with other departments, contractors, or engineers to resolve complex issues
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components
About you:
- It is essential that you are a time served engineer, holding a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Ideally you will hold an 18th edition qualification, however this is not essential.
- You will have a robust understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- It is essential that you can perform basic PLC fault finding.
- Flexible to work over the weekend if needed.
- Ideally you will be from a high paced manufacturing background, but this not essential.
