Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias
Location: County Durham
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Shifts: Panama Days & Nights (2-2-3 shift pattern)
Sector: Manufacturing / Engineering / FMCG / Industrial
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment
- Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and company procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Accurately record all maintenance activity using the CMMS system
About You
- Time-served or qualified in Electrical Engineering (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills (PLCs, sensors, motors, control panels, etc.)
- Multi-skilled with some mechanical ability
- Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment
- Comfortable working Panama days & nights (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)
- Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
