Role

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias

Location: County Durham

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Shifts: Panama Days & Nights (2-2-3 shift pattern)

Sector: Manufacturing / Engineering / FMCG / Industrial

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and company procedures
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Accurately record all maintenance activity using the CMMS system

About You

  • Time-served or qualified in Electrical Engineering (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills (PLCs, sensors, motors, control panels, etc.)
  • Multi-skilled with some mechanical ability
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environment
  • Comfortable working Panama days & nights (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off)
  • Proactive, reliable, and a strong team player
