An exciting opportunity for a Multi‑Skilled Engineer with Mechanical Bias to join a busy production environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of all plant and equipment, supporting the site's production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults across production and intake systems.
- Liaise closely with the mill team to address breakdowns or production interruptions promptly and effectively.
- Accurately record all maintenance work to maintain legal compliance and uphold safety standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, safety, and productivity.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Support projects involving installation, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Escalate persistent or critical issues appropriately to minimise production disruption.
Key Skills
- Recognised qualification/apprenticeship in both engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 17th Edition certification (18th Edition).
- Strong understanding of Star Delta, PLC systems, and Safe Isolation processes.
- Proven experience working within a production or process environment under strict safety and quality control procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to implement both short-term fixes and long-term engineering solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a proactive and methodical approach.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
