The client is a leading UK house builder expanding its homes portfolio. We are seeking a Site Manager to lead a busy new-build housing development, ensuring high standards and on-time completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage, control and motivate all site staff, including subcontractors and agency staff
- Ensure company Health & Safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
- Ensure the project runs within budget and programme
- Maintain up-to-date Health & Safety records on request
- Ensure Environmental and Waste Management policies are adhered to
- Induct all staff, subcontractors and site visitors properly
- Adhere to the company’s Customer Care & Customer Satisfaction policies and procedures
- Conform to building regulations and warranty provider requirements (NHBC & LABC)
- Ensure works are in full accordance with the allocated cost provision
- Update accurate production/progress returns
- Attend and minute weekly Sales/Construction meetings
- Check product quality and snag each plot before NHBC inspection
- Complete all site administration in line with Head Office requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience at site-management level with large house builders
- Up-to-date knowledge of health & safety obligations and building legislation
- Ability to manage change and use own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle complex situations and motivate others
- Appropriate CSCS card, SMSTS & First Aid certificate
