Two TIG Pipewelder positions are required for a specialist pipework and fabrication firm looking to increase head count due to a new site and expansion. Work is Monday to Thursday only.
Compensation
Overall Target Earnings: £54,440.10 including a basic salary of £46,191.60 (£21.15 per hour PAYE for standard 42 hours + 1.5× overtime on Fridays)

Responsibilities
- Welding to X‑ray standard on both stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials
- Read drawings; cut and fabricate pipe spools unsupervised
- 95 % Tig & Mag pipe welding with about 5 % fitting work
- Weld test at interview stage: TIG stainless steel 54‑89 mm diameter; wall thickness 2‑5.49 mm; MAG carbon steel 114 mm diameter; wall thickness 4.54 mm
- Weld at position PA/PB
- May be required to work onsite occasionally – strong mechanical assembly and fitting skills required
- Fabricate pipes, flanges, plant rooms, skids onto pipe spools to a very high specification
- Perform other general fabrication shop duties across the shift
- Adhere to strict health‑and‑safety standards set by the company
Qualifications
- Skilled and have a proven work experience in fabrication and pipe welding with stainless steel and mild steels for more than 2 years, or
- Have necessary qualifications, or be time‑served and experienced in MIG/TIG welding within a similar engineering environment
- Driving licence preferred due to site location outside Leeds and potential wagon driving on the job
Employment Status
Permanent after successful completion of a 26‑week temporary period (similar to probation).

Morley, commutable from Leeds, Bradford, Shipley, Otley, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax, Barnsley and local train stations.
