We're working with an established and growing software company in Milton Keynes to bring an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead its development function. This is a strategic leadership position where you'll oversee an engineering team of around 10 developers, shape technical direction, improve engineering processes, and play a key role in the company's next phase of growth. This is a hands‑off position & you'll have genuine influence over technology strategy while driving improvements across software delivery, cloud infrastructure and engineering standards. Key Experience
- Experience of managing a team of 5+ Software Developers
- Background in Web Development, preferably PHP, as well as experience leading cloud infrastructure projects (AWS or Azure)
- Strong knowledge of software delivery best practices and SDLC
- Experience improving engineering processes and driving technical standards
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work closely with senior leadership
- An interest in AI‑assisted software development and modern engineering practices
