We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team on an interim-to-permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional who enjoys working across a varied portfolio of commercial projects ranging from £20k to £1m. The successful candidate will play a key role in surveying, pricing, tendering, and presenting commercial works, while maintaining strong relationships with both clients and the wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quantity surveying duties across a range of commercial works projects
- Prepare quotations, cost plans, and tender submissions
- Present commercial proposals and project costs to clients
- Conduct site visits across Buckinghamshire and surrounding areas
- Liaise closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Monitor project costs and commercial performance throughout delivery
- Support project planning and procurement activities
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial works or construction
- Strong knowledge of estimating, tendering, and cost management
- Experience delivering projects ranging from £20k to £1m
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team environment
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend site visits
Desirable Experience
It would be highly advantageous if candidates have experience working with both public and private sector clients, including organisations such as county councils, educational institutions, heritage organisations, trusts, and similar public-sector or conservation-focused bodies.
Location
This role is based from our Milton Keynes office. We are specifically seeking someone who can work closely with our team on a day-to-day basis, as regular interaction with colleagues and clients is essential to the role.
