Are you an experienced MEP Commercial Manager with a strong background in delivering major commercial developments? This is a standout opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading Tier 1 main contractors, delivering landmark projects across Central London.

The Role

You will take full commercial responsibility for MEP packages across high-profile commercial developments up to £50m in value. This is a key leadership position within a progressive, well-structured commercial team that values collaboration, innovation, and high-quality delivery. You will act as the commercial lead for MEP works, ensuring robust cost control, risk management, and commercial performance across multiple projects or a major flagship scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all MEP commercial activities across major construction projects
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement strategy, valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Provide commercial leadership on contract administration (NEC and JCT)
  • Drive cost planning, forecasting, and value engineering initiatives
  • Manage commercial risk and ensure cost certainty across project lifecycle
  • Work closely with project directors, delivery teams, and supply chain partners
  • Support, mentor, and develop junior members of the commercial team
  • Ensure alignment with programme, budget, and client expectations

Ideal Career Progression Opportunity

This role is particularly well-suited to candidates currently working within MEP subcontractors who are looking to make the step up into a main contractor environment. It offers a genuine opportunity to transition into Tier 1 delivery, gaining exposure to larger-scale project oversight, broader commercial responsibility, and more complex stakeholder management. For ambitious individuals who have already developed strong technical and commercial expertise within subcontracting, this position provides the next step in career progression—moving into a strategic, client-facing commercial role within a leading main contractor.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor or MEP Commercial Manager
  • Strong background within Tier 1 main contracting on large-scale commercial projects
  • Excellent working knowledge of NEC and JCT forms of contract
  • Experience managing high-value MEP packages from pre-construction through to final account
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ideally has exposure to both main contractor and MEP subcontractor environments

This role offers 2 days hybrid working per week, supporting a healthy balance between office collaboration and remote flexibility.

What’s On Offer

  • £100,000 – £110,000 base salary
  • Market-leading benefits package that includes private healthcare, and performance-related bonus - 10%
  • Hybrid working (2 days per week)
  • Strong career progression within a contractor known for internal promotion
  • Opportunity to work on some of London's most prestigious commercial developments.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior commercial leadership role within a top-performing Tier 1 contractor shaping Central London’s skyline.
