Due to continued expansion we are recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join a well-established engineering team working on specialist subsea equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background who enjoys assembly, testing, and problem-solving in a high-quality manufacturing environment.

What’s on Offer?

  • 37-hour working week
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Flexible working hours available
  • 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays

The Role

As a Mechanical Technician you will be involved in the assembly, testing, and commissioning of advanced mechanical and hydraulic equipment used in demanding subsea environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and hydraulic components, sub-assemblies, and complete assemblies
  • Mechanical assembly and load testing of subsea products
  • Manufacture and test hydraulic hoses and pipework
  • Pressure testing, set-up, and functional testing of a wide range of tooling and assemblies
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure quality standards and project deadlines are achieved
  • Complete all relevant documentation, including quality records, timesheets, NCRs, and ECNs

About You

  • Background in mechanical assembly, fitting, or maintenance
  • Experience as an automotive mechanic, vehicle technician, or similar hands-on engineering role
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering practices and assembly techniques
  • Completed a mechanical apprenticeship or have equivalent shop-floor engineering experience
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail
