Location: Livingston (Central Scotland), Carlisle / Penrith, South Sheffield.

Salary: £32 – £36. Vehicle and fuel provided. Travel paid (door to door). Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week.

The Role

We are supporting a leading environmental services provider who are expanding their field teams ahead of a major contract mobilisation. The role involves routine maintenance and operational support across a network of treatment and monitoring sites. This is a practical, hands-on position suited to candidates with a mechanical maintenance, operator, or engineering background.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strip, inspect, and maintain valves and mechanical components
  • Carry out greasing, servicing, and basic repairs
  • Take water samples and record operational data
  • Perform routine site checks and readings
  • Support general maintenance and upkeep of sites
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures
  • Report issues and elevate faults where required
  • Work independently across multiple sites

What We Are Looking For

  • Background in mechanical maintenance, plant operations, or similar
  • Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working alone in a field-based role
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience in water, utilities, or industrial environments is advantageous but not essential
