We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical installation works on a major commercial construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring health & safety compliance, and delivering works to programme and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all mechanical installation works on site
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks
- Attend and lead coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and other trades
- Monitor project progress and report to the Project Manager
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Review drawings, technical specifications, and RAMS
- Resolve site issues efficiently and maintain programme targets
- Support commissioning and handover activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager on commercial projects
- Strong background in HVAC, pipework, plant room, and mechanical building services installations
- SMSTS qualification
- CSCS Card
- First Aid certification
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Full UK driving licence
