Mechanical Fitters required for the Heysham ‘2’ Statutory Outage which commences early September 2026. Successful applicants should preferably possess knowledge of turbine components and associated plant/equipment and technologies.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Strong mechanical fitting, assembly, and repair skills.
- Experience with rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and motors.
- Proficient in using measuring equipment, hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems.
- Strong safety focus and attention to detail.
- IT skills for data recording.
You should be in possession of a recognised apprenticeship and typically requires a minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering Maintenance. You must hold a current Client Contractor Safety Group Passport. Security Clearance to CTC Level would be an advantage.
