Overview
Our client operates a large safety‑critical manufacturing facility with a turnover in the hundreds of millions. They manufacture specialised products for key industry players in FMCG and have a solid maintenance function. They are currently looking for a motivated Mechanical Fitter to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Work with industrial mechanical equipment and components such as valves, bearings, shafts, pump seals, rollers, hydraulics etc.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects.
- Team up on machinery such as conveyors, crushers, milling machines, grinders, heat exchangers, packaging machines.
- Perform Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance.
Qualifications
- Recognised mechanical qualification.
- Experience working with a maintenance engineering team.
- Sound understanding of key mechanical components.
- Previous COMAH experience is beneficial, though not essential.
