Role Overview
Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join a leading research facility offering an outstanding working environment alongside structured training and long‑term development. We are part of a renowned scientific research group, operating across multiple sites and supporting world‑leading research. The Estates and Facilities team is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out general mechanical maintenance duties across the site, supporting day‑to‑day upkeep, inspections, and minor repairs.
- Progressively taking on responsibility to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across plant and building systems, including HVAC, pumps, pipework, and associated mechanical infrastructure.
- Monitoring systems via the Building Management System (BMS) and ensuring efficient and reliable operation of facilities.
- Participating in an on‑call rota (approx. 6‑8 weeks per year) to support 24/7 operational readiness.
