We are pleased to present a Mechanical Supervisor opportunity based in South Yorkshire to work for a prestigious organisation. This position can be offered both on a temp-to-perm or permanent basis. The permanent salary ranges from £32,000 up to £39,000 with great benefits.
Essential Requirements
- Supervise a team of mechanical maintenance technicians, allocating and prioritising work to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.
- Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities, maintaining accurate records within the Planon system.
- Provide technical guidance, problem‑solving support, and mentoring to team members to ensure high‑quality and timely completion of work.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with current legislation, technical standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Assist in planning and managing preventative maintenance programmes to meet operational and compliance standards.
- Manage parts and consumables, ensuring appropriate stock levels to support efficient maintenance operations.
- Support coordination of staffing matters including leave, sickness, and performance monitoring to maintain adequate team coverage.
- Carry out diagnostics and mechanical maintenance on systems such as HVAC, compressors, pressure systems, steam, and gas installations, including required testing and certification.
- Liaise with contractors and departmental contacts to ensure work is completed to required standards, within timescales, and with clear communication on progress.
