Elite Sourcing is working exclusively with a growing Mechanical Building Services Contractor that is experiencing significant growth following the award of several new projects. As a result, we are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Contracts Delivery Manager, Mechanical Project Delivery Manager or Mechanical Construction Manager to take ownership of multiple Mechanical Building Services projects across 3 sites in NW & West London. Travel between these sites on a daily/weekly basis will be expected.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Contracts Manager who enjoys autonomy, client interaction and delivering projects from inception through to completion. The projects vary in value and include reactive and emergency works as well as PPM's.
The Opportunity for Multi-site Mechanical Contracts Manager
This is not a desk-based role. The successful Mechanical Contracts Manager/Project Manager/Construction Manager will oversee multiple Mechanical Building Services projects simultaneously, managing programmes, budgets, subcontractors, direct labour and client relationships. You will play a key role in project delivery, ensuring Mechanical Building Services projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. The projects are delivered across THREE live operational NHS hospitals, where careful planning, stakeholder management and an understanding of working around critical services are essential. Candidates must be comfortable working within live healthcare environments where priorities can change quickly and disruption must be kept to an absolute minimum.
Key Responsibilities for Multi-site Mechanical Project Manager
- Managing multiple Mechanical Building Services projects simultaneously
- Leading project delivery from pre-construction through to handover
- Managing site teams, direct labour and subcontractors
- Attending client meetings and progress reviews
- Managing project programmes and commercial performance
- Reviewing project costs, variations and budgets
- Coordinating suppliers, subcontractors and specialist contractors
- Ensuring Health & Safety compliance across all projects
- Producing project reports and progress updates
- Travelling between project sites across London and the Home Counties
Key Requirements for Multi-site Mechanical Project Manager
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Construction Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager
- Proven experience working within live hospital, healthcare or other critical operational environments
- Understanding of permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures and the challenges associated with delivering projects in occupied buildings
- Strong Mechanical Building Services background
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial awareness and project delivery experience
- Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and direct labour
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
- Full UK Driving Licence
