KBM Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced Marine Electrician to join a growing electrical team based in Aberdeen, supporting projects across marine, offshore, oil & gas and industrial environments. The successful candidate will be involved in electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault‑finding activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics and scopes of work.
- Carry out electrical installations, maintenance and testing across marine, commercial and industrial environments.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on AC/DC LV systems.
- Work with power and management equipment including generators, battery systems, AC/DC circuits and associated control systems.
- Test and maintain LV switchboards, motors, generators, circuit breakers and control panels.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Support project delivery both onshore and offshore where required.
Requirements
- Time‑served apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within the marine or electrical industry.
- Experience working with LV electrical systems and industrial control equipment.
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification would be advantageous.
