Our client is currently looking to hire Water Quality Service Technicians to join their growing team. Opportunities are available for trainee, standard, and experienced-level candidates, including dual-role professionals with Legionella Risk Assessment experience. This is a field-based role working across customer sites throughout the UK, with a home-based setup when not on-site.
The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, personable, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a wider team.
Salary & Benefits
- Trainee Level: £26,500 per annum with full training provided
- Standard Level: £26,500 – £34,000 per annum
- Experienced / Dual Role: £34,000 – £40,000 per annum
- £1,400 annual working away bonus paid monthly

The client covers all hotel and meal costs for any overnight stays required for projects across the UK.

Candidates should ideally be based in or around: York, Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of water treatment and chemical dosing equipment
- Water sampling and testing
- TMV servicing and shower head disinfection
- Closed system analysis for heating and chilled systems
- BSRIA chemistry and microbiological sampling
- Preventative maintenance activities
- Maintaining accurate service records and reports
- Recommending repairs, equipment, and stock requirements
- Managing equipment and chemical stock levels
Candidate Profile
- Organised, enthusiastic, and dependable

- Willing to learn and develop new skills
- Comfortable traveling and occasionally staying away overnight
- Able to work independently and manage their own schedule
- Customer-focused with a positive and proactive approach
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 12 months
- Permanent UK
- Ability to travel across the UK as required
- Suitable home working environment
- Enhanced security clearance is highly desirable due to the nature of client sites, including schools, hospitals, and prisons
Training & Development
Full training is available for trainee-level applicants. Experienced candidates should be able to provide evidence of previous industry experience and certifications where applicable. The client offers ongoing support through external training, in-house development, and on-the-job mentoring to ensure employees are fully supported in their role.
Working Hours & Holidays
Working hours are Monday to Friday, with very limited weekend work required. Holiday entitlement includes statutory holidays plus additional leave based on length of service. Please note there is a company-wide shutdown period between Christmas and New Year.
